Wheelchair-Bound Woman Shouted Down at Health Care Town Hall

A new low for protesters at health care town halls. A wheelchair-bound woman, suffering from "two incurable auto-immune diseases" was shouted down at a town hall.

The incident occurred in Red Bank, NJ last week. It was a town hall meeting on federal health care reform with Rep. Frank Pallone (D-6th District).

Opponents were so vehement, and intent on shouting down supporters of health care reform, that they shouted down their own kind! The point is, a democracy is not about shouting down people, but discussing calmly.

You do not need to be a liberal to see that the conservatives at these town meetings are engaged not in discussing, but in shouting down people, with the full intention of cutting off any intelligent discourse.
