Erin Andrews Tells Oprah of Her "Peeping Tom Video" Nightmare

Erin Andews, ESPN reporter and victim of a video made surreptitiously through a peephole in her hotel room, told Oprah Winfrey in a short segment aired on Friday that upon seeing it, she thought her "career was over."

Erin Andrews spoke of the peeping tom video to Oprah in a segment filmed on August 27th, and shown on Friday as a lead-up to Oprah's season premiere on Monday. While the video was first uploaded to the Internet in February, it did not catch fire until but did not catch anyone's attention until speculation, and a takedown notice by ESPN confirmed it was indeed ESPN's sexy sideline reporter.

While admittedly grainy, as Erin Andrews was already the Internet darling of many men, there was an instant surge of traffic and queries as people tried to find the peeping tom's video. Some even capitalized on the video, using it to spread malware.

Initially, a friend told her of the peephole video, and Erin Andrews laughed it off. With further urging, she was convinced to look, and was horrified. Her first act: call her parents.
"I kept screaming: 'I'm done. My career is over. I'm done. Get it off. Get it off the Internet.' They thought I was physically injured, (that's) how bad I was screaming."
Erin Andrews is certain that she was stalked, and that the peeping tom's video encompasses visits to more than one adjoining hotel room while she was traveling.
"I do know that I am a victim of a stalker, because we know that this happened in at least two rooms. I was getting ready to go work a college football game in at least one of the videos I was able to identify."
It's already certain that legal action is certain, if the peeping tom can be found, and Erin Andrews is trying to move past the peephole video. Andrews returned to the airwaves on Sept. 3 as the sideline reporter for ESPN's broadcast of the South Carolina at North Carolina State NCAA football game.
