GMAC Financial Services Drops Glenn Beck

GMAC Financial Services on Monday confirmed to Media Matters that it has stopped advertising on Glenn Beck's Fox News show.

It's unclear if this is related to Beck's rant that President Barack Obama has a "deep-seated hatred of white people." After that farcical statement, ColorofChange.org started a campaign to get advertisers to drop Beck's show.

GMAC FS will continue to advertise on Fox News, just not Beck's show, so it's kind of a hollow statement. However, GMAC FS joins a growing list of advertisers who have recently dropped Beck, including Radio Shack, Procter & Gamble, ConAgra, Roche, Sanofi-Aventis, Men’s Wearhouse, State Farm Sargento, Lawyers.com, and Progressive Insurance.
