Jasmine Fiore's body had been found found in a suitcase by someone dumpster-diving in Orange County last weekend. Her teeth and fingers had been removed in an apparent attempt to hide her identity. Since then, police has sought Jenkins, who was believed to have crossed the border into his native Canada. With Ryan Jenkins dead, however, we may never know the truth behind Fiore's death.
Ryan Jenkins was found dead in a room at the Thunderbird Motel on a secluded road on the outskirts of Hope, British Columbia. Jenkins, 32, disappeared last week but his boat was found last Wednesday at a marina not far from the U.S. - Canadian border, just south of Vancouver.
Jasmine Fiore, 28, and Ryan Jenkins met in March at a Las Vegas casino where Jenkins was partying after wrapping up from a reality TV show, "Megan Wants a Millionaire." Apparently, as they were in the town of quickie weddings, they got married on March 18, according to a Clark County marriage certificate. Little did they know their relationship would end up with both dead.
In May, they had a huge fight, according to Jasmine Fiore's mother, Lisa Lepore, and Fiore had the marriage annulled. There was a measure of co-dependence between them, however, as they ended up back together.
Jasmine Fiore was last seen alive with Ryan Jenkins at a poker game in San Diego. On Saturday night, Jenkins reported her missing to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, police said. Later, her dead body was found in a dumpster, as I noted. Interestingly, as her teeth and fingers were removed, her ID was confirmed by numbers on her breast implants.
Past court records show that Ryan Jenkins was charged in June in Clark County, NV, with a misdemeanor count of "battery constituting domestic violence." If you're wondering, that was based on accusations that he hit Jasmine Fiore in the arm. He was scheduled for a Dec. 18 non-jury trial.
Ryan Jenkins was in three episodes of "Megan Wants a Millionaire." VH1 cancelled the show on Friday. He also was a participant in an as-yet-unaired competitive reality series, "I Love Money 3." A VH1 spokesman said no decision has been made on whether or not to run the show. One would hope, with the somewhat morbid reality of Ryan Jenkins being found dead, they would take the classy step of never airing the show.
Obviously, if they chose to, they could perhaps get some high ratings for such an airing, but hopefully they will choose the high road and not air the show at all.
