How did Ryan Jenkins managed to elude authorities in Canada for so long? He had help, and British Columbia police have identified the woman. Although they have not revealed her ID, TMZ reported the woman to be Paulina Chmielecka. According to TMZ, they showed pictures of Paulina Chmielecka to Kevin Walker, the manager of the motel where Ryan Jenkins hung himself. The two had been in a 3-year relationship until earlier this year. The manager said he was 100% sure that the woman who helped Jenkins get the motel room was Chmielecka.
Walker said Sunday that a woman checked in on Thursday, saying she needed a room for at least three days and paid cash through Sunday. Meanwhile, a man waited in a PT Cruiser with Alberta license plates outside.
What's interesting is TMZ is reporting that representatives for Paulina Chmielecka are saying that "There's no way it can be her because on Friday she was doing a fashion show and Saturday she was filming a cooking show." I'm not sure how being somewhere on Friday and Saturday have anything to do with Thursday.
TMZ also reports, however, that police have also said that Paulina Chmielecka is not the woman they are interested in. At any rate, anyone who helped Ryan Jenkins, who was on the run after allegedly murdering his ex-wife, Jasmine Fiore, could face charges of accessory to murder after the fact.
